Do you still complain about everything?
Do you whine because things don't go your way? I know you have been taught to fight to achieve your goals and that's why you feel frustrated when things don't go your way, but there are better ways to get things done. That's what I will be sharing with you today.
Let me share my experience with you first.
I had tried diverse philosophies to conquer depression, but none solved my problem. I have been insulted within earshot by neighbors and strangers that I came across. I knew that believing in myself was a good ideology but I couldn't withstand the internal and external pressure.
Then one night, I decided to accept everything about life. Through my experiences and via personal insight, I developed three techniques to practice this concept.
I knew that believing in myself was a good ideology but I couldn't withstand the internal and external pressure.
I hereby share them with you.
Firstly, accept yourself unconditionally, your strengths, weakness, physique - past, and present.
Understand that true love is not partial. Love yourself totally. If you have been doing it, as I had, then you need to stop practicing the ideology of 'No one is perfect'.' Say to yourself, 'I am perfect the way I am'.
Acknowledge your weakness (or areas needing improvement) but focus more on your strengths.
What you focus on grows. Start seeing opportunities, learn from failures and improve on your optimism.
Avoid dwelling on regrets of your past and believe that your present can be better. Rid just your mentality to that of you being flawless, but open to learning.
Secondly, accept the world unconditionally. Welcome people's behavior. Realize that they are not wrong to behave the way they do against you. Learn to see things from their perceptive and tolerate their personality.
A lion is always a lion so why expend your energy, trying to change that. You might want to stop trying to change people and embrace their differences instead. The world is for everyone. Give people space if their presence haunts you.
Thirdly, learn to accept nature unconditionally. You can't control everything.
Natural disasters are bound to happen- death, sickness, break up, etc. Life is a bittersweet experience. You might want to loosen your grip on life and not be so clingy of it. Be ready to let go when it is time.
Good and bad things are bound to happen. Learn to be less judgemental and accept that for everything that happens, such is life. Nothing lasts forever; change is the most constant thing in life.
You might want to loosen your grip on life and not be so clingy of it.
These three techniques worked for me; I'm certain they will work for you too.
Have you ever gone through a depressing situation that you overcame?
Share it with the world.
