ON PROSTITUTION IN AFRICA | Chronicles by Uche Amaobi | Poetry| PROSTIFESSIONAL SERIES

They bend and batter at desires core
in streets, in brothels, home and away and when they make a score,

they champion their bodies as it stands, and twist, and bend, and lay
and when the day is done all they want is their pay.

When we preach and curse,
life, choice, pain, desires, a blessing onto thy that "recieveth"

Like everyone else,
They do what they must,
They survive, they live.
