CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS | Summer 2019 Issue | Random Sample

The Random Sample's primary aim as an online literary journal is accessibility and experimentalism: we want work that yields truth, in its many forms, and speaks on behalf of the experience of the body politic. We want the random, the real, the raw, the honest.
Overall, we want work that is decidedly and unabashedly human and they are open for their summer issue.

Submissions are accepted year-round, though we read most consistently during the summer and winter months. We endeavor to publish two issues a year and strive to return submissions as soon as possible. Please feel free to shoot us an email if you haven’t heard from us in a while.

While we prefer unpublished work, we will consider work that has been previously published. If you are submitting something that has been published elsewhere, please let us know when and where it was published in the body of the email.

We do not accept simultaneous submissions.

Only one submission at a time, please. If your work is not accepted, please wait three months before submitting again.

How to submit

Visit the SUBMIT page on their website.
